Finding conditions that regulates a gene

The query:
Go to  yMGV homepage
1) enter a ORF or a gene name in the left frame
2) select the filter you want to apply. for example, setting filter to 3 will only display publication where the requested gene has been induced or repressed at least 3 fold.
3) select the publication set to query. Description of the datasets is available here

The result:
1) function of the gene extracted from the SGD, some statistics about variation of its expression accross all the experiments.
2) result of the query displayed as one histogram per publication. Each bar represents the ratio of gene expression in an experiment.
3) direct links to pages describing this genes in others databases.

You can have more details on the publication and the results by clicking in the graphs:

1) will give you all the information concerning the publication

2) will give you access to the data for this publication and this gene

The menu in 1 permits to change visualisation option, induction limit between colored/non colored, image size and legend...
Cliking in an experiment name will give you all the information concerning the conditions used:

In conditions description, you can obtain:
1) details concerning conditions measured in both channels.
2) part of the article material and method.
3) expression map showing expression changes along chromosoms:

4) log2(ratio) distribution:

In most of the conditions, only a small part of the genes are regulated, so the distribution should be like a gaussian curve, centered in log2(1)=0.
5) Statistics on the number of genes regulated in that condition.
