Log2(Ratio) data sets of times courses were used for filtering genes for which a more than two fold change is observed, at least twice and for two successive times along the course of the experiments. Four groups of up-regulated genes can be distinguished by the delay in the response to the presence of benomyl as well as one group of down-regulated genes :







Using the program REDUCE, single-motif fits were performed for each time point in the whole dataset of the benomyl time course. The 20 strongest motifs detected for the 10 and 40-min time points are shown in these tables :
